With 27 years of experience in education, I am a dedicated educator who has worked with Kindergarten through Grade 3 students. Over the years, I have seen the power of connection in supporting children's growth and development. My goal is to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every child feels encouraged to explore and express themselves.
In my classroom, I emphasize creativity, allowing students to discover different mediums and shape their ideas in meaningful ways. I strive to foster a collaborative atmosphere, where students feel confident to take risks, ask questions, and take an active role in their learning.
Beyond the classroom, I am committed to mentoring preservice teachers and sharing experiences to empower new educators. I believe in continuous learning and working together to strengthen our collective practice.
I have been involved with the Early Childhood Council for over 20 years in various capacities. I currently serve as the Edmonton Regional President, where I have the opportunity to connect with and learn from fellow educators who share a passion for early learning.
