About me
Ashley Bieda has been in the world of early education for 16 years. While going to University to get her teaching degree, she obtained her Level 3 ECE Certification and began working in daycares to gain experience with children. During her time at Jasper Place Child and Family Resource Society in Edmonton, Ashley gained a knowledge, love and appreciation for the Reggio Emilia approach to teaching and learning, something that shaped her classroom teaching practice from then on. She has mainly taught pre-kindergarten in Red Deer before obtaining her Master’s Degree in Early Education and moving into an Early Education program coordinator role in 2018. As an advocate for play and children’s mental health, Ashley obtained Therapeutic Play Practitioner certification in 2021 through Rocky Mountain Play Therapy and strongly believes in the power that play has to create effective, appropriate and enjoyable learning experiences for children.
