Playful Pathways: Experiencing the Power of Play to Unlock Children's Learning and Emotional Well-Being

In this play experience, participants will have the opportunity to engage with a variety of loose-parts materials in an immersive play experience followed by reflection, debriefing and shared views of the value and meaning of their play experience. Participants engage in self-active play, a mindfulness practice that relieves stress and anxiety while inspiring creative contemplation. This play process is offered as a source of creative energy, a positive healing force for generating optimism and resilience in young children and adults.

Visual Journals allow opportunities for students to reflect and document their learning in a creative format. See how Visual Journals can be used almost daily as a curriculum-based tool across all subjects. Ways to incorporate Indigenous themes will also be demonstrated. There will be take-away projects.
